Viral Inflammatory after effects--or--RA?

In the Spring of this year (Apr 1st),one  week after upper resp inf, with sore throat, I had sudden onset of inflammed knees, very sore, could barely walk. I have had OA for years, but his was totoally different, knees like melons- fever 101.7. Fever remitted next am,followed by lacy bumpy rash on both lower legs, which vanished by next am.Within 24-36 Hrs,swelling and pain spread to ankles, toes, wrists, fingers, while knees improved. All swollen and stiff.Ortho Doc removed fluid and took Xrays, ordered Blood work.Xray showed mild OA. Fluid from knee showed no crystals, no infection. Blood negative for evrything, Lyme, ESR normal, ana normal-- C reactive protein 6.2.(doc said non-specific) blood count all normal. Rheumatoid factor negative. Referred to Rheum Doc. Said was "post viral inflammatory arthritis" would go away in 6 weeks (went away in 5 weeks) also neg for Parvo, EB and CMV. Felt GREAT by early May

Suddenly, mid July, thumb index and middle went numb, all day, both hands. Rheum tested for underlying cause of CTS, all neg for thyroid, diabetes,B vitamins etc, all normal. She said it would go away, she was wrong this time!!! CTS progresssed extremely rapidly. Lost left thumb opposition, night pain EXCRUTIATING, numbness worsened. By Oct, could not take it anymore, after 6 sessions of OT,went to surgeon who operated immediately--RT hand, CT release and tenosynovectomy--- extreme tenosynovitis--Doc called it "mangled mess" having left hand done in 3 weeks. Left hadn has started to improve slightly since RT surgery (nighttime pain gone) Right hand healing nicely.

Question--Do I have RA? Could this be from same viral response? I have had no fever or fatigue with this CTS bout and no swelling. Other joints OK, except for typical OA. I am seeing new Rheum Doc in a week.

Any suggestions appreciated. I am 59 yo female,retired. .
