Want to know if my dad might have possibel arthritis

Hi everyone my dad has been expiriencing mucle aches; they seem to appear in one of his legs and his hands. He also gets finger stiffening sometimes. I was just wondering if this could possibly be arthritis or something else. I would appreciate any advice thanks.

If the pain is in the muscles, it is likely not arthritis. Stiff fingers can be associated with arthritis, though. Tendonitis, referred pain from his back, carpal tunnel and many other conditions could be the source of the pain in the hand and/or leg. How long has he been experiencing this? If it has been several weeks to months and nothing he is trying is relieving him of the pain, it is time to see a doctor.
