Why when I take antihistamines my arthritis drastically worsens?

I was diagnosed with reactive arthritis at age of 17. Today I am 32, and some months ago I adopted a cat from the streets. When he started sleeping in my room, I had to triple my anti-inflammatory dose for some reason. As if that wasn't strange enough, after I took an antihistamine to control my allergy to the cat, when I woke up the next day my pain was DRASTICALLY increased. It was almost like I didn't take any anti-inflammatory at all. I had a lot of trouble just getting off the bed and my joints were much more stiffer than normal.

Within some days (less than a week) the pain diminished to "normal" levels (still was having to take triple of the dose of what I was needing before meeting the cat though) . Then I took another antihistamine of another brand just to make sure and there came the unbearable pain again. And then I tested yet another brand one last time and yes, it was no coincidence, the antihistamine was really the culprit and was raising my pain by a lot.

I have no idea of why this is happening. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate a lot if you could share them with me.
