arthritis or something else

within the last few months, i have started having pain and tingling and numbness in my right ring finger.  also wrist pain mostly in my right hand, but also stiffness in the knuckles of both. Some of my fingers also appear swolen to me.
not to my doctor.  i was diagnosed with arthritis in my neck.  could this also be the problem with the fingers and wrist?
a carpal tunnel test by my doctor, was inconclusive.  i am on a computer at work all day. i also sleep with a wrist guard to keep my fingers straight to avoid the pain and numbness that wakes me up if i dont.
