counting down the days now

Well gang, just about 4 days left and counting until my surgery. I've begun the 5 day presurgery nasal antibiotic to fend off staph infection and have just about finished moving to the downstairs spare bedroom. I've built a temporary set of stairs leading into my house, with 5" high tread risers and treads big enough to make using a walker easier. I heat with wood and have 6 cord stacked and ready for winter. I have winterized my little 911 targa and covered it up for the season....bummer!!! Moving my computer and television downstairs and run a new line from the sat dish.
Getting ready for winter in July, what a pisser!! So I guess, all that is left to do is have both my hips resurfaced, via an MIS approach using Cormet implants along with antibiotic impregnated cement...4 days in the hospital and probably another week in inpatient rehab...Then start slogging uphill to recovery, minimum of 4 weeks using a walker or crutches and who knows when I will be able to drive again (the porsche is to low to the ground and my diesel truck is to high!!!(vbg))

Pro, ------who is also just a year and a half past 72 weeks of chemo for hep C (successfully treated I might add (G)).......when it rains, it pours (LOL) and life goes on
