he Causes of Arthriitis

Pror to being inducted in the Army  was never invovled with sports or on an athletic team. In the Army I went through Basic and Adanced InfantryTraining as well as most of Offcer's Training School. This traiining invovlved forced marches, jogging ad walking with full gear.

Later in life I developed arthritis.

Is the Army activity the cause of my arthritis?

Did you put this on the Ask an Expert forum?  The Arthritis Forum is not monitered by any physician, the members here are just people who happen to have arthritis.  I will do some digging around and see if it was posted there on the Ask an Expert forum, ok?

As for your question, I do not know if being in the military could cause your arthritis.  What kind of arthritis do you have?  There are over 200 different forms of arthritis and rheumatic diseases that go in the category of arthritis.  Some I do know can be caused by a bacteria or infection like Reactive Arthritis.  Have you seen a rheumatologist?

Okay, I did some digging and I didn't see your question on Ask an Expert.  I did see it in the Degenerative Forum and here on the Arthritis forum.  To get to Dr. Enoch, you need to go the Forums up top and click on it and go to the right side of the screen and click on under the Ask an Expert column, the Arthritis tab.  Then you can ask Dr. Enoch your question.
