knee manpulation

ihad knee replacment 2 months ago after thearpy had manpulaion because knee would not bend but 72 degrees after manuplation 2 wks swelled real bad range of motion getiig worst not taking therapy can't sleep at night taking pain pills and ice packs but not helping how long wiil it stay swelled and will it get better with out therapy
