left shoulder and neck pain

by sagil, Oct 24, 2009 07:21PM
I have recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. One year ago was in a car accident and have had this pain then went to chiro, and physical therapy. Also had MRI's and xrays etc. done. I now am back to experiencing this same pain. Can this be caused by the rheumatoid arthritis,. as my rheumy says it is a muscular issue and brought on by my job, I have been off for 5 months and just returned for 2 days and the pain is terrible. Any advice before I head back to the doctors for help. Thanks, sagil

While RA does not just effect the joints, this may be related to the car accident.  Have you seen a doc other than your rheumy?  Have they checked to see if you have an entrapped nerve or a bulging disc or any spinal problems in your neck?
