Hi Buckeye78.
Yes, it seems that your situation is quite unique.
I cannot imagine what it feels like to be living in constant pain.
Your subconscious mind is probably the only place that may hold information on what's going on inside your body.
The good news- I'll explain in a minute*- is that your issue might be psycho-neuro-immunological, something doctors cannot diagnose, as it falls outside their scope of practice.
* It may be curable. You must seek out an excellent Energy PsychoTherapist who is also a Hypnotherapist to help facilitate the re-balancing of your physical/mental/emotional/spiritual state,
It may require a number of sessions in order to reach the root level of the problem in order to achieve results and perhaps at a considerable cost.
Just do a search, if you consider looking further into this.
I know there are a number of qualified Practitioners and Therapists in Arizona.
Let me know if you need any details.
Wishing you well.
Niko
I suffered a gun shot wound when I was 14. Loss the use of my right leg from the knee down only. I lived with constant burning, tolerable but about yearly I would get excruciating pain and never knew what brought it on. About 10 years later it became more frequent. I am 35 now and this pain is almost daily. I've tried spinal injections, leg injections, spinal cord stimulator trials (x2) and every med under the sun. The bullet entered my abdomen and fragmented around my spine. When I tried the SCS I felt all the sensation in my left leg which is the good one. I have a family now and feel like I am missing out in so much. I know my situation is unique and would not wish on anyone but was hoping someone out there would see this and be able to offer some advice or refer me somewhere. My docs seem baffled and just keep on with the injections and meds. Can't imagine an entire life like this. Thank you for reading.
Hi Shiela and welcome to the forum.
Good question! A holistic Doctor would be my first choice as he/she would treat the entire body as a whole and not just the symptoms where they appear
Otherwise you could consult with a Rheumatologist or Neurologist or Pain
management specialist.
Read some of the comments in other posts for more insight.
Wish you well.
