psoriasis

I am 32 and have had plaque psoriasis that has only worsened for 10yrs now. I have tried every topical treatment I have come across and nothing works...the oral treatment side affects scare me worse than the psoriasis does so I refuse to try them. My concern though is that in the last few years I have had increasing joint pain...so much that sometimes I can't straighten my legs or arms. It is in all my joint other than my toes. Could the psoriasis and the joint pain be related and what can I do about it?

Yes it can be related and it is called Psoriatic arthritis.  You need to be seen by a rheumatologist so they can properly diagnose and treat you.  Here is a link to some information on it here at MedHelp.  http://www.medhelp.org/medical-information/show/4811/Psoriatic-arthritis
