rituxan also known as rituximab

Has anyone tried this drug, rituxan? If so what was the out come. I am going to have my first infusion on april 14th, and I am a little concerned with side affects. I am hopeful that this will be the drug that helps, would like to hear from others who may have tried it. thanks so much    Sheryl

I been on this drug for 3 years, it was my last hope. I use to be in alot of pain and swelling.  Now I don't have pain and swelling like I did for 7 years.  I was in bad place.. My only concern is, that I am breaking out with rashes and very itchy and my doctor say nothing..Also broke out with shingles.  Had rash that looks like heat rash all over my arms and neck, back.. I only take that medication and Arava..

Hi this is my second year of retuximab my infusion is due next week it has helped me so much i have tried endless drugs for my RA and the retuximab helps the most a few weeks after the infusion my blood result was normal i cant speak for everyone just my own experience i allso take methotrexate. i was given a steroid before the infusion then it took about 4 hours in all at the hospital then 2 weeks later i had to go back for a second infusion i had no side affects only a flushed face on the evening from the steroid  im sure you will be fine anything that helps with the pain and inflamation (inflammation) is worth a try. I am just waiting for shoulder replacements i just wish i could have had the retuximab sooner best of look with your new treatment do please let me know if it helps take care.
