rocky mountain spotted fever

I've been diagnosed w/RMSF I'm allergic to tetracycline so the dr. has me taking keflex. Taking it for 3 weeks, I'm not getting better. I'm looking for information what to do next? my blood test came back pos. for rikettsia 2 weeks ago after I had already been medicated for a week. so?? could it be something else or in addition to this RMSF? I was diagnosed w/ fibro. abt. 8  or 9 yrs ago, could that have some sort of affect? overwhelmed....any info would be most appreciated, thanks

I actually had a friend diagnosed with RMSF earlier this year.  She took keflex too.  She also did not see an improvement and went on it again for another 3 weeks.  This seemed to knock it out.  I am not sure what effect FMS has on RMSF, but I would guess that RMSF could throw you into flare.  If you have not done so already, please call your doctor and let him/her know you are not better.  Let us know how you do.
