I feel like a failure so was looking on here to see if I am the only one with this problem? I was doing so good then went to grab my grandson and twisted my knee. Ever since then I can straighten my leg and every day it gets worse. This morning I had to tippy toe to the bathroom holding on to the furniture. I am hurting soo bad but afriead to go back to the dr because he blamed me saying I am not doing my excersizies. I have been I have done all expeat a lot of walking cause we have had ice and snow. I was doing so good even walking without a cane. I am only 45 but feel like I am 90! I cant walk upright without excruciating pain.
I had the manipulation 4 weeks after my surgery on both of my knees and I felt like I did the pt good. 100% that is great, I had total knee replacement on both my knees. I'm very active as I work on my feet three to four days a week and walk ,work out at gymn. Im 60 and lost a lot of weight and inches since the sugery. It is great to work out without the pain. My bend is probably only 90 pushing it and of course should be 120. I certainly can live with the stiff as its much better than before the surgery. I don't think I want to do the scar tissue removal surgery , when I might not gain the motion or end up with the same problem or worse. I have a Dr. appt. soon so I'll see. Thanks for the comments good luck with your knee sounds like your doing great!!
did you just have a tnk?? i had one in may 11 and had an egg size scar tissue on side of my knee...it went away. how active are you? i got 100% range of motion in 9 months. did you do pt aggressively? also you might need a manipulation for range
Thanks for the feedback, I talked to someone who had the surgery and i had a better bend than him. I think I'll learned to live with it as i'm stiff all the time but can walk great and get around good. I hold on to the railing walking down steps. The way he talked he had all the same problems I do anyway, I don't know. I see my Dr. next month and I'll talk to him. Thanks again.
Hi there!
Yes, scar tissue removal surgery may help improve the symptoms and range of motion if scar tissue formation is the sole cause of morbidity; however I would suggest discussing the risks for repeat scar formation in detail with your treating doctor and if the surgery would be worthwhile.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care!
