Hi Carla,

Just wondering how you're doing. I said in my original comments that it
could get quite serious. What you have is serious and you need urgent
medical attention. You originally posted your comments on May 6th.
It's May the 10th. I hope by now you have been seen by your family
doctor, a walk in clinic or an ER . As Jemma16 says in her comments,
you have an abscess and as she states could end up with blood poisoning.
Carla, if you haven't seen a doctor yet, you need urgent medical attention
for this abscess. Blood poisoning is extremely serious and is life threatening. I wish you well. Please seek medical attention immediately. Eve

I suggest, if you haven't already done so, then go and see your doctor as a matter of urgency.

Whether you were bitten by some bug on your elbow or a spot formed and turned into an abscess, the infection has spread and you desperately need some type of antibiotic to get rid of the infection.

This is very serious and you could end up with blood poisoning (septicaemia).

Best wishes.

Hi Carla240,

I just read your comments. Personally, I think it's unwise to pop a bump.
It just invites infection. You say the bump is getting bigger and more sore.
I would advise you to make an appointment with your family doctor so your
doctor can take a look at your elbow. Don't wait. You have an infection
especially as you say there is pus. This could get quite serious. Eve
