wrist pain

I have been having mild achy wrist pain in both wrists for over 2 months. I have had ANA testing done before which always comes back negative. I had a SED rate test done recently that came back a little high. My dr. didn't think anything of it and said it might be mild tendon pain. The last few days I have had severe pain in my left wrist. It is near my thumb and sometimes radiates into my other fingers and into my low forearm. I have also had muscle and body aches for the last few days but it is mild and my wrist definitely hurts worse than any of my other body aches. I also read that too much vitamin a can cause bone pain. My nutrionist put me on a high dose of vitamin a, about 100,000 iu for two weeks to get my vitamin a up. Could this possibly be causing my wrist pain? Should I try going to the dr. again or just wait and see if it goes away on its own?

you should get an EMG with a nuerologist to rule out carpel tunnel.

I forgot to mention. A few days before the intense pain started, I stood up and pushed off with my left hand and when I did it made a bunch of cracking and popping sounds and started hurting soon after. That pain subsided quickly but it was just a few days before it started hurting really badly again. Could I have injured my wrist and it just took a few days before it started hurting as bad?
