Hi... Well typically those bumps are from excessive use of a razor.. It's not uncommon I get them sometimes ...but what I discovered that works is to wax instead...it helps remove the old skin from the surface nd reduces those hairs that are trapped, that's why the bumps form . I know it sounds painful nd costly but the benefits of feeling better about your self nd confident is worth it :)....
hi im 16 and i have had this lump in my armpit undre the surface for a while but i didnt really take much notice of it until today. its only painful if i press it otherwise it doesnt really bother me too much, im quite worried about it and im not sure if i should go to the doctor, i have read that shaving and using antiperperants can cause lumps... is this true and if so is it dangerous and can i get rid of it??
i havent told anybody in my familly yet and im really worried, please reply asap :'(
ps. i dont know if this is relevant but, i have a cyst on the back of my neck which i have had since i was 7 but that doesnt bother me at all and it never hurts, i saw the doctor about that and got the all clear, could this be connected to my armpit lump?
HI and thanks for using the forum.
Sometimes it helps to not shave for a week or so and let the skin heal up. If you have the bumps and then shave, it is only going to make the skin more irritated. Also, if you don't already use shaving cream, try using one instead of regular soap which can be drying. Finally, wait as long as possible after shaving to apply your deodorant (have you tried spray deodorant instead of roll on or stick?) If none of this works, or you have already tried all of these, you might want to try seeing a dermatologist. Good luck.
