Bv infection

How long is it takes to know if you have bacterial vaginosis after you went to do exams? I went to the dr and they didn't tell me anything they say they was going to call me! how long is it take for the results?

HI and thanks for using the forum.

It can depend on the lab that they use.  Generally, you should get an answer within 48-72 hours.  If it has been longer than that, then you should call your doctors office and see if the results are in.  If the results are not in yet, then ask when you can expect to hear from them.  This will at least give you a time line.  Good luck.
