Is this an infection reaction?

Two months ago, a close friend of mine was bitten by her pet chihuahua dog and she was given medicine to cure it. But after the pain from the wound was gone, she started to have headaches and pains at the back of her neck, it move to her head and even feel pain inside her brain. (Like needles were poking her inside).

She has problems with having good night's sleep, and feels like something is moving inside her head. Could this be a bloodclott or something else?

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

I doubt that the pains your friend is feeling and the dog bite are related.   Your friend could be having migraines or stress headaches.  If the pain persists and she is getting the headaches frequently she should probably see her doctor or a neurologist for evaluation.  Also some stress management techniques such as exercise and meditation might help.  Good luck to your friend.
