Muscle pain

Hello, two days ago I went to the gym, and I did a lot of hard work, I pushed my self a lot, so I had this pain which starts from the end of the forearm until the start of the bicep, I can't stretch my hand 100% because of pain. Is this serious?

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It is possible to tear a muscle/tendon/ligament when doing strenuous work outs.  It is also possible that the pain you are feeling is muscle strain from your hard work out.  Or it could be lactic acid build up from your work out.  I think you should give yourself a few days and see how  your arm feels.  Drink plenty of water and, if you can, go easy on the arm that is bothering you.  IF you don't notice an improvement over the next few days, then you may need to see an orthopedist if you think something could be wrong.  You can also take ibuprofen (if you can tolerate it) which can help with the pain as well as reduce swelling.  Good luck.
