Please help

I have a swollen lymph node in the groin on my right side been to the doc and they gave me antibiotics and they cut into it cause they thought it was an ingrown hair but it was nothin but blood and it's kinda scary I mean I'm going back next week it is sore but after they cut it it was as swollen or sore but it's kinda growin down my leg not bad but u can tell so please help

Well where she cut is fine there is a knot beside it and its swelling down the leg and the skin is red but it not streaks I'm worried that its cancer or somethin

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

They probably cut into it to make sure that it was not a cyst filled with pus.  The antibiotics will cover you for infection.  The area will be sore since they had to make an incision.  What is going down your leg- pain, redness, swelling?  If you feel that the area around the incision is redened, inflamed, increasingly painful or if you see streaking of red going down from the incision, then you should let your doctor know.  Be sure to go to your follow up appointment and to take all antibiotics as presribed.  Keep the area clean and dry.  If you are worried, there  is nothing wrong with calling the doctor to be sure that he/she knows everything that is going on.  Good luck.
