Smelly Urine - 13+3 Pregnant

This sounds really gross, but I'm just trying to figure out what the problem is.  I'm 13+3.

Ever since I got pregnant I've had either smelly urine or lady parts (I can't really distinguish where the smell is coming from).  It's not fishy and not like anything I've smelled before.  It just smells dirty.  I take showers, not baths. I don't use soaps or douches in there.  I don't go swimming.  But we also have very alkaline sulfur well water, so that's what we bathe in.  I don't know if it's my heightened sense of smell or if it is the residue from our water.  It really does smell terrible.  My mom said it could be from the prenatal vitamins, my midwife said it could be dehydration (or I suppose a combo of both).  Well then I got my blood work back (even though I insisted I didn't need the Chlamydia & Gonnarrhea tests, they gave them to me anyway, It's definitely NOT either of those). Everything was withinnormal range EXCEPT my white blood cell count.  10.9 (L), Absolute Eosinophils 11 (L) & Absolute Neutrophils 8884 (H).

So my overactive brain is now wondering if this smell is related to the white blood cell count.  Is this a possible scenario?  What else could it be? No pain during urination or sex with my husband.  No majorly visible discharge, but wearing and changing panty liners often helps keep it under control.  I'm assuming bc of moisture control? I know I can't get a definitive answer here I just want a starting point.

Thanks for using the forum.

I agree with your mom and midwife. It is probably a combination of the prenatal vitamin and dehydration. Most vitamins are filtered out through the kidneys. It may be a part of your vitamin that your heightened sense of smell is picking up on. Additionally pregnant women often sweat a little more, you might even be just picking up the smell from that. If all your blood tests came back ok, and you are not having any other symptoms or discomfort, it is probably not something to worry about. I would recommend just making sure your doctor is aware. Make sure you are getting plenty of water too. Keep a water bottle with you and drink from it throughout the day. Be careful what products you use to wash as well. Pregnant women often experience sensitive skin. Mild soap and water.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
