Vaginal bleeding

Ok so I'm kind of nervous about this, but my boyfriend and I for about 6 months now just recently had sex for the first time. I am not a virgin, but he is MUCH larger than my last partner, being that I only had one partner before him it was a shock. Anyway, while we were having sex everything was fine at first although it did hurt just a little and it was kind of a struggle, but after a while I began to bleed, I've been tested and I don't have any STDs, or any other infections, and neither does he. It wasn't too much after a couple wipes in the bathroom and once I urinated the bleeding stopped completely. I'm wondering if this could have been a tear in my vaginal wall, but I'm freaked out and I have no idea what that was. Help please!

Thanks for using the forum.

It sounds like you may have had a little tearing. I would not be overly concerned if it stopped right away. You stated that you have been tested for STDs and both of you were negative. I would recommend that in the future, you use a lubricant to make it easier and help to prevent any tearing. If this is an ongoing problem, you should get checked by your doctor again to make sure that everything is OK.

Cathy.
