I saw a doctor who said I had a anal fissure just inside my rectum I also have tailbone pain when sitting that showed up a couple days before the fissure was found  is the tailbone pain from the fissure? or something else my doctor never really said anything when I asked him.

First of all thank you for answering my question. They think the fissures are coming from straining from my IBS when I have constipation. Right now they are treating them with Hydrocortisone Acetate Suppositories and said let's treat them for 6 weeks and then see.. I had the tailbone pain about 4 days before they found the fissures so they said there not sure what's causing the pain or say nothing at all. I have 2 doctors saying it possible and one that says it's far fetched for fissures to be causing that type of pain.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It may be that your tail bone pain is related to the anal fissures.  do you know what is causing the fissures?  Do you have issues with constipation and or hemorrhoids?  Are you doing anything to treat the fissures?  If you are, then I would wait and see if the tailbone pain resolves as the fissures heal.  If the pain persists then you might want to get in touch with your doctor again and have this checked out.  Tail bones can be painful when they are bruised and you can also develop cysts in that area so if the pain does not resolve, have it checked out.   Good luck.
