I was suprised i didnt get any uti symptoms. She prescribed me antibiotics sulfamethoxazole tmp ds. Twice a day for 10 days I have taken those before never caused me side effects. N since I started taking them again yesterday.. I been having cramps on my lower abdominal n bad pressure headaches and fever. My eyes looks red n my lips burn kinda like itchy.. I feel nauseous.. should I be concern? Is it normal??  By the way I was fine before taking antibiotics. Please help im scared.

Thanks for using the forum.

I recommend speaking with your doctor. Stomach cramps with antibiotics are not uncommon (the antibiotics make the muscles of the intestine move more quickly, and can cause loose stool as well). However, fever and itching can be a sign of an allergy. It is possible to develop an allergy at any time in your life, even to an antibiotic you have taken before.

I hope this helps.
