blood boil

my husband has a huge blood boil on the top inside of his ear, he has been to 4 different doctors and they have lanced it and one put a needle into the boil and drawed the blood out. the boil goes down when they drain it but by the next morning it is huge again. what could be causing this? he is also taking the antibotic (antibiotic) bactrim

thanks

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

Your husband should probably see a surgeon who can evaluate the boil.  Boils do have a tendancy to come back, but it sounds like this one never actually goes away- it just drains.  The surgeon should have some options for you.  Good luck.
