swollen lymph node

Hi.I went to see the doctor last monday for a bad ear ache.He looked in my ears,throat and up my nose and said it was a sinus infection.He also checked for any lumps on my neck and head.He gave me Sulfameth/tmp ds tabs for 1 week at 2 a day.The ear infection is gone but now I have a swollen lymph node just under my chin on the right side of my neck.I am really worried that he missed something.I also have 2 days left on the antibiotic.Should I call him and tell him about it or is it part of the sinus infection?

The swollen gland is most likely related to your sinus infection.  I don't think you ned to call the doctor right away.  Finish your antibiotic and see how you feel.  It can take a few weeks for the swelling in the gland to go away.  YOu can take ibuprofen for pain if you need it.  If your sinus symptoms persist after you finish your antibiotic, you may need to see your doctor again.  Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
