to many antibioics for infant?

Just wondering how bad it is for my 10month old daughter to be on so many antibitoics? she has been sick for last 6months non stop, she has had strep throat, swin flue, rsv, over 6 colds, 4 ear infections and many more things.. she has got threw on a antibitoic for everything  bc there all so bad.. she has not been off an antibitic for longer than 2 weeks for last 6 months. she is getting tubes in her ears in a month if she gets healthy enough. she has been into the dr for her illness over 30 times in the last 6months.. if she starts to get better on the antibiotic she will get sick the day after she is off. they sent her to infections control and they sent her to ENT and thats when he said her tubes need to come out, but untill then she still is on all these antibitoics is that ok>?

You don't say what antibiotics your daughter is on (she should only be on one at a time).  It is important to keep her ears infection free so that the ENT can do the surgery and place the tubes.  Therefore, it is not uncommon to be on antibiotics prior to the surgery.  Antibiotics are for infections only, so colds do not need to be treated with an antibiotic.  Ideally you don't want her to have to be on any medications, however you can't leave an infection untreated.  So, continue her antibiotic as prescribed, be sure that it is given to her appropriately (at the right time and for the right amount of days).  Good luck.

Antibiotics destroy vitamins. Is your daughter being given vitamin supplements? If she is deficient in nutrients this can affect her immune system.
