too many periods

ohkay it started back in july i was on my period a week early for about 5 days then stopped then started again 2 days later with my normal period. well august september october went normal then all of a sudden back in november it started again the same exact thing then december it did it again. i have been on birth control for over a year now and never missed a pill except 1 time

today i want to a GYN and they gave me a pelvic examination and said that i have a little bacteria down there and also changed my birth control. they said to come back in a few months after the birth control settles if im still having the problem. they also gave me a pregnancy test and it came back negative

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

Since this is happening repeatedly, you should see your OB/GYN for evaulation.  It is not uncommon to have occassional breakthrough bleeding, but yours has become more than occassional so you need to be evaluated.  Good luck.
