ADD and Anxiety medication Help

i have had bad reactions to my past 3 prescriptions.  Focalin XR 20 mg caused me to have sever anxiety attacks at night, caused restlessness , but it did its job for my ADD it affected the rest of my life very badly because my hands and extremities where turning pale and felt numb.  To treat the anxiety i started on Citalopram and this medication only made me very tired.  (falling asleep in class).  after talking with my counselor i started back on Add meds 2 days ago starting at 50mg Vyvanse.  Once again just as focalin did this made me very sick last night causing the palor and tremor just as focalin had.  I experienced twitches and insomnia last night got 2 hours of sleep but and 5 the night before but am awake but i feel terrible.

I really need some educated advice on some proper medication choices to talk with my doctor about.  I can't focus to any extent without the ADD medication but the side effects i am getttting arn't worth it.  But my doc has said he doesnt think its the ADD meds because these anxiety attacks are happening after the medicine should be out of my body.

I am wondering if  anybody could give me a suggestion of a combination of ADD and anxiety medications that will be safe to use.

And one last thing, i was thinking that the disscooration and numbness in my knees could be caused by the combination of my smoking habit ( around half a pack a day), and the efeects that ADD meds have on constricting your blood vessels.

Any information is appreciated, like i said i have long term goals and short term goals but without a form of ADD medication i have found from the time i went off the focalin to the Citalopram that it is nearly impossible to focus short term with out it, but i really dont like the anxiety attacks the meds give me.

Thanks!

How about trying Adderall, but starting at a lower dose and increasing gradually. As for the anxiety there are medications such as Xanax and Ativan which can be taken on an as needed basis. Please discuss these options with your doctor.
