Concerned about sibling's mental and physical health

I have a was diagnosed with cancer 18 years ago and survived.  but since then they have suffered depression, HBP, anxiety, and many other things.  The doctors keep prescribing more and more meds but never have they taken any away.  They take uppers, downers, anxiety med, HBP med, pain meds, gerd med, and the list continues.  Right now they take 30+ pills each day.  Over time is this dangerous?  How can the combination of meds affect they phyche?  I am really concerned b/c relationships have been severed due strange arguments out of nothingness and they being paranoid and unsecure.  They tend to manipulate and criticize others.   Plus they never go anywhere b/c they don't feel good anytime.  And they complain and complain and complain.  They can't work and are homebound most of the time b/c they don't feel good and won't try to go out.  When they do go out they develop colds due to a poor immune system.  Can the body tolerate that much medicine over the long haul even if it is prescriptions.   People get hooked on meds everyday and their lives are destroyed...i'm concerned.  look at high profilers like Tammy Bakker, Michael Jackson, and Anna Nicole.  Prescription meds but what was the outcome?????  I am really concerned about this and don't know where to turn b/c no one wants to address issues or what is happening almost daily.  Can some of this be attributed to too many meds combined?  Who can one turn to to re-evaluate the needs for all the meds?

I'd need more information in order to answer your question.  What medications and doses are you taking? Do your doctors know of your concern and if your prescriptions are from more than one doctor, are they all aware of what you are taking?
