Estrace and arthritis

by Mandy263, Jun 18, 2009 07:37AM
I have been taking Estrace for 9 years.  I am in the process of a 3 month weaning off process.  Could coming off Estrace have an effect on my Osteoarthritis?  It seems worse since I began the weaning process about a month and a half ago.

Estrogen does help to keep the bones strong during menopause. Therefore by weaning off the Estrace you may notice some bone weakening and more osteoarthritis pain. I would recommend letting your doctor know.
