Heart Rate- Gene Related?

I'm finding that when I work out now my heart rate has a high of about 190 and an average of about 180.  My dad's side has history of high blood pressure and heart attacks. He has had a heart attack already when he was about 43 and that was over 10 years ago.  Now, I am 21 and I'm weighin a little higher at 180 and about 5 feet 11 inches, I worry about these same problems evem though I try to stay healthy by hitting the gym!  Should I worry? Is my heart rate high for my age and weight???

Your heart rate is elevated when exercising. The more important measurement is your blood pressure (normal 120/80) and resting heart rate (normal 60-100 beats per minute). You can have your doctor take your blood pressure and pulse, or some pharmacies will have a machine that can measure it for you.
