She sleeps all the time. I have to wake her for school, then when she gets hoe from schol she sleeps from 4-8pm. She wakes up, wants to eat, then goes back to sleepfrom 10pm-8AM.
Diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri (IIH & Papilledema) in 12/2009 and has IIH still. On 1000mg a day of Diamox and 75mg of topamox. She weighs about 100lbs and is seven years old.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried before and they messed up things worse but might be worth a second try.
Thanks Ken
Hello,
Maybe a Psychiatrist will be able to help you with your Valium. You say you have anxiety and agoraphibia which is a good reason why a Psych will see you. It doesn't have to be talk sessions, except for the first visit, it can be just for monitoring your meds after the initial visit. This is just a thought to help your situation. Good luck.
When are you going to answer the seconf part of my question
Since dotors told me not to go off and with my phyical conditions what is the point.Addiction is not harmfull my mother was addicited to ice cream I have gone off it both ways and neither worked so I was put back on. I have been told by doctors and shrinks it a good drug if handled peoperly. More importantly have to go thru anything. To my knowledge no studies were done. Pluese understand I dont lie the doctor told me to take it for blood pressure. It was continued by other doctors. You said it is possible but it may not be. From what i see your saying its not used for blood pressure but how would I know when it was given by a doctor he called it spiked blood pressure. The doctors just say no dont even discuss it. The idea sound good but not reality. A phamarisist told me just 2 weeks ago. I have a hard time understanding why fix something when its not broken. Since this started i cant get out of bed with the stomach pain which I mentioned I have. Please explain the point of going off at all I dont get it. Would you want you dad to go withdrawls with mabey 10 nyears to live. After 62 years in this world nothing is assured to work. Just read the many articles on doctors mistakes. Anyways thanks for listening but you and I both know why doctors wont perscribe Thanks ***@****
When you “went off” of the Valium in the past did you simply stop taking it or did you reduce the dose slowly to eventually “get off” of it?? If you stopped it abruptly, that is probably why you suffered such severe withdrawal. As far as finding a way to get the medication, perhaps your local doctor could contact your previous prescriber and discuss any concerns they may have with him. I think that if you express to a new doctor that you want to try to be gradually taken off of the medication, that they might be more willing to prescribe it for you. It will probably be a longer process than usual since you have been on it for over 30 years, but it is possible. Also, I just want to mention that Valium is not used for blood pressure. It is used for a variety of things including anxiety, alcohol withdrawal, as a muscle relaxant, and seizures.
