Husband's Health

My husband is 58 yo, 187 pounds and is experiencing rapid heart beat, asthma type symtoms (symptoms) (mild), and high blood pressure. He is taking Benazepril and Amlodipine. Because of the symtoms (symptoms) he tends to feel anxious which is not his nature. The rapid heart beat especially bothers him. He takes the two medications split because it is cheaper to take the 2 pills than have it in one pill. His blood pressure ranges from 130/80 to 173/104. He is higher in the am. His pulse  has been as high as 109 down to 80. He is an active man. Is it a matter of finding the brand of medication that will bring things into alignment? The doctor is kind of at a loss. We have no insurance and therefore he doesn't want to go to a cardiologist because he worries about the cost. Can you give us some direction? Thanks.

I would suggest getting a second opinion or seeing a cardiologist.
