Mixing drugs question

In my search to figure out why i was breaking out with a rash i had went to the local health department.

The nurse said it didnt look like herpes but scrapped along anyway..

In the meantime i started breaking out with blistery rashes on my fingers, inner theighs, arms, and lower stomach.

I went to a doc without insurance and it cost a fortune but he said it to didnt look like herpes (even the stuff on my penis)


So the doc prescribed my stuff for contact dermatitis and stuff to prevent a saph infection which was:
Methylprednisolone 1 unit of 21, Keflex 500mg, Hydrocortizone 2.5% He also said to take 1 Zertec a day.

So im 3 days into all the drugs and the health department called and says the part that was on my penis they tested came back positive for HSV2...

being very taken aback by the news when i went in to pick up the script (Acyclovir 200mg) i forgot to ask if i should continue taking the other meds.

Can i mix All these meds without bad results or should i discontinue taking the meds from the other doctor?

acyclovir does not interact with the other drugs u are taking BUT it is not a good idea to use steroids with herpes as basically it is your own bodies immune system that overcomes the herpes. Steroids suppress your immune response. I am assuming the methylprednisolone and hydrocortisone are creams (The acyclovir prevents the virus reproducing, your own bodies kills the virus's that are already there)
You can finish the course of Keflex as it may prevent infection by bacteria of the viral sores. If u are itching then u can carry on with the zirtek. Make sure no one else uses the same towel as u whilst there are blisters. If it is HSV it should be gone in 10 to 14 days.
