Phendimetrazine

Is the use of Phendimetrazine safe for Type 1 Diabetics?  Also, will the use of Calms Forte safe to use while on Phendimetrazine?

As I am sure you are aware, Phendimetrazine is used as a short term adjunct for the management of obesity. You must use caution with this medication because you are diabetic. I would suggest asking your primary care provider for a physical to evaluate the appropriateness of you using this medication with type 1 diabetes. Your provider may determine that the pros outweigh the cons and will prescribe this for you. Keep in mind that this product requires a prescription. And as always remember that there really is no substitute for eating right and an exercise program that suits your needs. With regards to Calms forte, that product is homeopathic and has the following ingredients in it; Passiflora 1X | Triple Strength HPUS

For restless sleep from exhaustion

Avena Sativa 1X | Double Strength HPUS

For stress, nervousness

Humulus Lupulus 1X | Double Strength HPUS

For sleeplessness

Chamomilla 2X | HPUS

For nervous irritability

They do not list interactions with other drugs on their website. However homeopathic products do not have to be FDA approved, therefore there may not be information for them to report. You can contact the manufacturer for more information on their data when it comes to taking this product with Zocor, Humalog, and Synthroid. I have included that information below.
