Steroids injected for urethral stricture

On 10/16 I had my 3rd surgery to remove scar tissue from the bladder neck.  This time 20 cc of Kenalog 40 was injected at the bladder neck to prevent return of scar tissue.  Now I have developed Cushing's Syndrom (syndrome).  None of the doctors or pharmacists I've talked to seem to have any idea of how long to expect the symptoms to continue.  They all agree it will go away eventually, but can't say 2 months or 2 years.

I have the buffalo hump, moon face, and extended abdomen.  I also have extreme headaches (Vicodin and Darvocet don't help) and constant ringing in my ears.  It seems that the headaches are caused by pressure from the buffalo hump.  There are days the hump appears less-thick and more wide-spread and then other days it is so thick I can't tilt my head very far backwards.

Would physical activity have an affect on how fast the steroids are released into my system?  It seems that the day after I do anything physical that the hump is more pronounced.

Is there any way to anticipate how long I can expect to have these symptoms?

Cushing's Syndrome is caused by either long-term use of corticosteroids or by your body's own overproduction of cortisol. If you are not taking any steroids on a regular basis for conditions such as asthma or arthritis, then the effects should go away in a few weeks.

Since it's been almost 3 months, you may want to get tested to see if something else is causing the symptoms you're experiencing.
