Weaing off Klonapin

Weaing off Klonapin

I have been on Cymbalta working up to 120mg in December and now starting to reduce Cymbalta and come off Klonapin. During this time I have had a battle with fatigue. At initial change in dose I'd be fine but after a week or two would get very fatigued. Have been living like this for many months.
I am presently weaning off klonapin at a rate of 1/4 mg per week. I have been taking it since July of 09 as a sleep aid due to anxiety pain. I have two questions:
1. What is the best rate to wean off the Klonapin? Can it make me drowsy during the day? I'm at 1.5 mg now and have headaches and muscle aches and have a hard time sleeping. I use xanax during the day to help.
2. During the past 8months on these two drugs I have a couple weeks of being fine and normal but then get really tired and fatigued. Is there an interaction with Cymbalt and Klonapin that would cause this and will the fatigue stop once off Kloapin?

There is no best rate of weaning off klonopin. It will depend on you and how you feel. Klonopin does cause fatigue so when taken with Cymbalta it may cause increased fatigue since Cymbalta causes fatigue too. Once you stop klonopin you should notice less tiredness.
