groin discomfort

groin discomfort

For 2 years now,I have had a condition whereby my groin turns reddish towards the scrotum while the outer side remains black. There is a definite boundary between the black and reddish sections. The scrotum appears very light colored with scaly appearance. I have tried using anti-fungal creams without any success. The condition causes a lot of discomfort and the condition is more when the weather is hot. Any one who can help me there please to know more about this condition and deal with it appropriately?

You may have jock itch, which is a fungal infection caused by ringworm.

Most ringworm infections can be treated with over-the-counter antifungal creams and powders that contain terbinafine, miconazole, or clotrimazole.  Brand names include Lamisil, Lotrimin, Micatin, and Monistat. But since yours has come back, it's best to see a doctor.
