Your doctor should have slowly weaned you off of the Xanax instead of substituting it with Valium. Please discuss this option with your doctor.

My doctor thinks tapering is a waste of time he also believes that 1 mg of Xanax is equal to 5 mg of Valium, go figure, seeing another doctor on Thursday I hope he has a PHD lol

I know the reason for my panic attacks, I also have post traumatic stress syndrome and Agarophobia due to a very brutal sexual assaul, but the doctors dont care , i`m currently on .05 mg of xanax at night and 10 mg of valium 4 times a day, i have blackouts, i almost dropped my son(5months old) the other day as my whole body just kinda locked up and i felt a blackness coming over me fortunately my husband was there to help, I feel like i`m on a rocking boat all the time when i walk and i get small electric shocks through my body all the time, I`m going to see a new doctor toorrow that does know about the Ashton tapering theory so hopefully she can help, thanks for all your input and suport, i`ll let you know how things go with the doctor. god bless Tam
