I would recommend for your to try Chloraseptic throat spray (the throat spray is sugar-free) or Chloraseptic sugar free lozenges. These contain benzocaine which is a local anesthetic that temporarily relieves throat pain or irritation. These products are usually used every two hours as needed and you can find them at most pharmacies.
