what causes anal pressure when sleeping
periodically - maybe once every 4 months or so, I am awakened in the night from a sound sleep with anal pressure.  It feels like I need to go to the restroom, but when I do, nothing happens.  It does relieve the pressure to sit on the toilet, but I just have to wait until the pressue/pain goes away.  I believe this could be a vitamin deficiency?  had a colonoscopy last year - everything looked great.  Get yearly mammograms and pap smears - no real health issues that I am aware of

This may be due to constipation. Have you tried any products for constipation? I am not aware of a vitamin deficiency causing this issue. Please make an appointment with your physician to discuss this.
