xanax to ativan crossover

have been on xanax .25 mg 4x daily for 4 months. nurse switched me last week to .25 ativan 3x daily. was upped to .5 mg 3x daily on friday due to shakiness, anxiousness. waqnts me to try luvox next week and felt ativan and luvox would have less interaction than xanax.
My question can a "cold" switchover from xanax to ativan cause withdrawal symptoms? last few days have felt very anxious, sleepy, tingly skin, panic, so much info out there from no problem (my dr and pharmacist) to thoughts this could cause xanax withdrawal

It may be possible to experience some withdrawal symptoms if the Xanax is not tapered. Since you are switching to another benzodiazepine, the symptoms would not be as severe, however, I recommend that you discuss this with your doctor.
