My two sisters homeschool.  My brother-in-law (one of the sister's husbands) works for a homeschool organization, Seton Home Study or something like that.  It's a Catholic orgniazation that writes curricula for parents who homeschool and he writes the curricula for high school literature/English.  My sister, who's married to him, is a grader for them.  Parents email or mail in homework and tests, so graders grade the stuff.  They get actual grades and when they graduate, they have transcripts and GPAs and get a high school diploma if they stick through it through 12th grade.  There are other organizations out there like that, though I don't know any other ones offhand.  Both sisters plan to homeschool all their children.  It turned out to be a good thing for one of my nieces who got Type I diabetes this last year at the age of 6.  She's been having trouble adjusting to being diabetic, and her morning blood sugars were way off.  My sister allowed her to start school later in the mornings, after her blood sugars were more stable.  When her sugars were high, she couldn't add 2 plus 2.  When they were normal she was doing multiplication with no problems.  She's now almost 7, in second grade.  My sister is doing kindergarden with her other daughter and preschool with the third.  My other sister is just starting preschool with her oldest son, but intends to put all kids (she has 3 currently) through homeschool curricula.

There are lots of groups out there to help with homeschooling.  You can get your children involved with homeschooling groups that you can get together and play sports or PE type things.

Is there any reason you can't homeschool all 3 kids?  And yes, going crazy would be a valid reason.  Personally, I don't know if I can homeschool 1.  My daughter has a lot of speech delays, so I am nervous that if she needs special ed, if i homeschool her, I might not be as good as the speech teacher would.  I guess I could get a speech therapist to work with her?  Right now, I have a bit to figure it out.

I homeschooled my Aspie daughter until she was 7.  I loved it, she hated it.  She had never been to school, so she didn't know how good she had it!   It got to the point that she just didn't respect me as her teacher--I was her Mom, what did I know?  We have had some very hard times in the public school.  Right now she is in a great class with a teacher and aides who totally understand her.  I love to see the relationships she has formed with them, and it totally helps her to get info from someone other than "just mom"!   The break from regular school will probably be good for your child.  Just don't burn all the bridges in case you want to go back.

thank you for your supprot!!!
i am waiting for the information i need for the homeschool application
this is so over-whelming
as far as burning bridges with the school, i am not too worried about that
we have been through 2 leagal battles with the school district, at the end of 2007 school year the attorney representing the school board went to jail for child pornography, after that they left me alone, and gave me what i was asking for
and all i wanted was for all my children to be in the same school district

well, we just finished our second week homeschooling
so far so good
i have joined several groups, one is pretty amazing, its actually an aspie group, after speaking with the moms for several hours i decided that it was a safe environment to say "well, i have it too"
one women said "but you can look me in the eyes" another commented on the way i walked and my general ability to hold conversations with a good bit going on around me
i explained to them how i was trained to act approperatly at a very early age, and that disipline was the key to my improvement, when i say disipline i do not mean beatings or time out, when i was 14 my parents hired a padgent trainer to help me with speech, interview and grace, i also took classical balet for 19yrs, but i told them that i was once very ackward, and uncordinated, that most of my behavior was learned from watching happy healty people and a good deal of training
i could go on about that for days, but i will spare you!!!
i am glad that you atleast tried homeschooling, my aspie kid actually hated school, it was causing so many problems, we will try this for a while and if it does not work my husband will have to work over time, i will not put him back in public school
if you decide to homeschool again, i can give you a link to several aspie homeschool forums, i have found one place to be a great source of information, it gives step by step instructions on ways you can teach your learning disabled child, i have the last few weeks teaching my son, i pray that we continue to progress.
