autisim???????

6 year old grandchild will not talk out loud away from home even at his cousins etc., will not play with anyone else will stand and watch them,stands behind us and hides when we are talking to someone, is just starting to eat in front of others, only has a menu of maybe 10 foods,in kindergarten last year his teacher sent us a note in April that he was finally speaking aloud a few words. At home when it is just our family here he TALKS all the time and starting to show behavior problems--any suggestions. If we correct him for his behavir he has staetd telling us he hates us,hits,kicks,bites,pinches etc.  trys to hurt his three year old brother.Do you have any suggestion of what we may be dealing with?

It doesn't particularly sound like Autism, though there are eliments that are common enough to Autism. I would suggest you take him to his peadiatrician to discuss the situation, it would probably be good to get a report from his teacher too.

try this; CHANGE HIS DIET COMPLETELY AND IMMEDIATELY
GO to vitamin store and buy super high culture count probiotics and give him 100 billion cultures daily by emptying the capsules and mixing them into a milk shake made from
ENSURE
SLIM FAST or other such highly nutritious drinks
OFFER THIS AND WATER all he wants for a week

this will help eliminate deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc and BOOST his immune system

AS TO HIS SHYNESS outside the immediate family; indulge that for the time being so as not to harm his self confidence. and in the family encourage him in all that is right, IGNORE for the time being all that is wrong; IF  HE tries to harm another child; show great empathy for the other child while ignoring his bad behavior but offering to let him explain in detail
