I can't breathe properly

by tmc1993, Apr 20, 2009 06:27PM
For a few weeks now iv'e been feeling like im not getting enough oxygen. I Smoked for about a year but i quit and now i think i might have developed serious health problems. I was anemic when i was a child and i read that some of my symptoms were related however i don't think i look all that pale. I'ts keeping me up at night and fills me with worry all the time. I don't know if it could be lung cancer and im pretty sure it's not asthma because i have an inhaler and it doesnt seem to help. I have this feeling all day and it never seems to stop. Do you always get pale when your anemic? and what type of anemia could it be if it is that? if anyone has answers or can help please try

I am sorry but I’m not able to respond to your inquiry.  You state:  “For a few weeks now iv'e been feeling like im not getting enough oxygen.”  What does that mean?  What are the “feelings” you refer to?

Also, “I'ts keeping me up at night and fills me with worry all the time.”  What is keeping you up all night?

And, “I have this feeling all day and it never seems to stop.”  What feeling?

I get the impression that, whatever you are experiencing, has got you a bit frazzled and worried about a number of diseases that you probably don’t have.

I suggest that you attempt to better describe what is going on and then see your doctor to discuss it and determine if any of your fears, including the possibly of anemia, are warranted.

Good luck.

I have the same thing. All day I have trouble breathing and I try and take deep breathes but they don't feel deep enough. It gets worse at night and I''m up half the night because I can hardly breathe. I have wheezing noises but doctor said it's not asthma. I can't even exercise no more because I can't breathe and I have to sit down even after walking up the stairs. Apparently I'm not absorbing B12 vitimins or something and I've been tested for celiac disease and that came back negative. Its affecting my college now aswell as my breathing gets to bad to walk there. =[
