Bronchial asthma is an old-fashioned term.  Now days we just speak of asthma and its sub-categories such as nocturnal asthma, allergic asthma, exercise induced asthma and cough variant (cough with no wheezing) asthma.  It is a disease of the bronchial tubes of the lungs that causes inflammation, increased mucous, wheezing, shortness of breath and cough.

Allergies can contribute to asthma but having allergies does not mean that you have asthma.  Above all, you should not be “worried”.  Allergies and asthma are both very treatable diseases so if it should turn-out that you have asthma, it can be treated and you can live a normal life.

Good luck
