One good approach is to keep a diary of your exposures to anything that seems to precede the itching and urticaria.  You may be able to pin-down or identify what is causing your problem.  Urticaria can be caused by inhaled or ingested (food) allergens.  Also by skin contact.  The immediate cause can also be something physical such as sunshine, excessive heat or cold.

Your best bet would be to seek guidance from an allergy specialist, trained to find causes of urticaria; a person who might, because of his/her experience might by asking you questions and allergy testing, might quickly  be able to determine the cause.

Good luck
