I have had an itchy throat and a cough,it has been with me now for about 3 weeks, could this be allergies or could acid reflux be causing this.

The cause of your itchy throat and cough could be either allergy or acid reflux.  And, it could also be a viral throat infection.  If you have ever had these symptoms at this time of the year, in years past, that would point toward seasonal allergy.  If you can’t or if it is inconvenient for you to see your doctor, you might want to begin  with a trial of an over-the-counter (OTC) anti-histamine-cough suppressant
