itching

by harrythepsycho, Oct 03, 2007 01:46PM
Hi!
I have recently got some allergic problems.
I can feel itching all over the body, no so intense but prominent. It doesnot follow any pattern though but I think at night after i take my dinner I get the itching. There has been no change in my eating habit recently. Initially I had a doubt about scabies but that seems to be far because I dont get that intense itch and I dont have red rashes in my body. This has been since a month or so. Please let me know how do I go about with this problem.

Itching is a common problem and may or may not be due to allergy.  It is also not likely that this is a new problem related to food allergy.  An easy solution without looking for the cause is to take an antihistamine regularly for a while to get rid of the itch.  If this does not work, I would speak to your physician to look at reasons for this itching to occur.  Speak to your physician about a safe antihistamine to try.
